Explore our engineering-grade materials fabricated to meet the most rigorous global environmental and structural requirements.
Taian Changhong Engineering Materials Co., Ltd. is a globally recognized manufacturer and pioneer in the development, formulation, and supply of advanced geosynthetic containment systems. Our extensive portfolio specializes in the manufacturing of high-performance smooth geomembranes, structured rough/coarse textured geomembranes, double-color geomembranes, and specialized needle-punched non-woven geotextiles. These geotextiles feature premium material bases including polyester (PET) short fiber, polyester continuous filament, polypropylene (PP) short fiber, and advanced hot-rolled non-woven fabric. Our technical range further extends to high-capacity drainage boards, structural geogrids, heavy-duty geocells, flexible permeable pipes, and engineered plastic blind drains.
By leveraging an industry-leading, highly stable raw material supply network and utilizing strict, proprietary polymer formulations, we specialize in custom-tailored polymer sheeting and composites utilizing High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE), Low-Density Polyethylene (LDPE), Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (EVA), and Ethylene Copolymer Bitumen (ECB). Our products are specifically engineered to deliver long-term environmental isolation, superior chemical resistance, thermal stability, and exceptional anti-aging profiles. They are extensively deployed in municipal solid waste landfills, industrial ash ponds, heap leach pads, municipal civil engineering (Sponge Cities), water conservancy dams, and critical infrastructure networks.

A deep technical breakdown of material performance, hydraulic containment, and shear resistance engineering.
Our composite barriers and Geosynthetic Clay Liners (GCLs) utilize sodium bentonite clay with high swelling capacities. When hydrated, the clay swells to form a low-permeability monolithic barrier (hydraulic conductivity < 5 × 10⁻¹¹ m/s). This is paired with custom LDPE/EVA/HDPE backing membranes to form a redundant double-containment layer that outlasts conventional compacted clay barriers by decades.
For steep-slope installations, such as reservoir embankments and landfill side slopes, we manufacture coarse textured and double-color geomembranes. The high-friction textured surface increases the interface shear angle against geotextiles or soils, preventing catastrophic sliding failure. Our process ensures uniform structural relief heights without sacrificing the tensile strength of the base polymer sheet.
Formulated with premium carbon black (2.0% to 3.0% range) and customized packages of heat stabilizers and hindered amine light stabilizers (HALS), our geomembranes boast exceptional resistance to UV oxidation, chemical leaching, and environmental stress cracking (tested via ASTM D5397 SPCTL exceeding 500 hours).
Operating from our modern manufacturing base, Taian Changhong incorporates advanced industrial automation with real-time process monitoring. Our facility operates leading-edge geosynthetic extrusion and needle-punching production lines. To back our high manufacturing standard, we have passed ISO9001 (Quality Management), ISO14001 (Environmental Management), and OHSAS18001 (Occupational Health and Safety) certifications.
Our workforce features a dedicated core of technical experts, including 3 chief chemical process engineers, 5 structural mechanical engineers, and 9 professional equipment operation engineers. This team possesses decades of hands-on polymer compounding and field-application expertise. By conducting multi-stage testing of incoming raw materials (MFR, density, OIT) and continuous inline thickness and defect monitoring, we ensure that every square meter of material shipped meets or exceeds international standards (such as the Geosynthetic Research Institute's GRI-GM13 and GM17 specifications).
Engineered containment and drainage solutions designed for long-term ecological security and civil structural integrity.
Comprehensive containment systems including municipal solid waste (MSW) landfills, hazardous waste storage cells, and biogas digesters. Featuring low hydraulic conductivity and high chemical resistance, these composite barrier designs prevent toxic leachate from penetrating groundwater tables.
Heap leaching pads, tailings dams, and secondary containment structures for oil refineries and liquid fuel chemical storage tanks. Engineered to withstand high acidic/alkaline chemical concentrations and extreme static loading conditions without puncture or cracking.
Seepage protection and slope reinforcement for dams, reservoirs, agricultural canals, irrigation ponds, and municipal wastewater treatment basins. The lining material reduces water loss through soil infiltration and stabilizes the hydraulic grade line.
Subgrade stabilization, subways, tunnel waterproofing, and municipal drainage systems. Utilizing our siphonic waterproof systems and high-density geocells to control water runoff, stabilize soft soils, and provide structural load distribution.
Specially formulated, non-toxic, food-grade geomembranes for commercial fish, shrimp, and lotus root aquaculture ponds. Our materials prevent water loss, maintain clean pond floors, and are highly resistant to mechanical puncture during harvesting.
High-tensile geotextiles and plastic geocells engineered for deep soil reinforcement, structural retaining walls, and railway embankment load transfer. This system prevents soil erosion and controls soft-ground lateral displacement.

As international environmental regulations tighten, the demand for highly reliable containment systems has increased. Taian Changhong is heavily investing in research and development to align with emerging trends in green engineering and ecological preservation. Our R&D team is developing smart-monitoring geomembranes embedded with conductive layers. These layers allow operators to detect micro-punctures automatically using electric liner integrity survey systems (ASTM D7002 / D7007).
Additionally, we are focusing on green sustainability. By incorporating bio-based polymers and advancing post-consumer recycled geosynthetic matrix formulations, we aim to lower the carbon footprint of structural infrastructure projects without sacrificing mechanical life or chemical resistance. Our long-term goal is to achieve a service life exceeding 100 years in anaerobic landfill environments, supporting the reduction of secondary environmental footprint and emissions.
Facilitating seamless international logistics, custom technical fabrication, and localized engineering compliance.
We work directly with engineering design institutes and general contractors to customize roll dimensions, thicknesses (ranging from 0.2mm to 3.0mm), and raw material additives (UV inhibitors, specific antioxidants, colors) to meet specific local regulatory requirements.
Every shipment is accompanied by Mill Test Certificates (MTCs) and comprehensive QC laboratory test reports. We ensure compliance with the target country's standards, including EPA regulations in North America, CE marking in Europe, and national standards in Asia-Pacific.
With an experienced logistics network, we arrange container packing to prevent damage during transit. We also offer detailed welding/installation manuals, weld-seam QA/QC inspection guidelines, and virtual field engineering support to help project teams during installation.
